How’s your January so far? Good? Glad to know ye.
The month of January is one of the busiest months of my year because it means of filing taxes to IRS, organizing schedule, meet-ups with friends after their holidays and working out trying to burn all the calories I have consumed in December. Ha ha!
I’m fortunate to have friends who are supportive making my lifestyle look so easy. 😊 Let me begin by sharing my weekends recently.
The bridal shoot situation.
I’ve never worn bridal gowns in one month but for some reasons I’ve tried so many beautiful bridal gowns this month. One wedding gown is designed by Grace Kelly and one is design by an award-winning fashion designer in Singapore, Mdm Peppin Emerald.
Mdm Peppin Emerald isn’t just a champion in creating her masterpieces, her artworks are creatively and engagingly available to women of all sizes. She knows how to reach out to different people. Her shop at 81 Joo Chiat looks so relaxed, home-like setting and has a variety of beautiful long dresses. She humbly told me that she’s sharing the space with her friend who is the owner of a shop, EWyte.sg. Both of them showcases their beautiful, affordable, and stylish creation.
The brunch in town.
If you will ask me to choose between to be wasted a.k.a. clubbing on Friday night or to have a low-key brunch on Saturday, I will definitely choose the brunch date on Saturday because I like having good coffee in my morning, dressing up for no occasion and checking out local cafés in my area. The Robert Timms restaurant at Wheelock, Orchard has been my favourite since 2009 because of its unpretentious and relax setting. I also love the natural lighting in the restaurant making my food so photogenic.
Before heading to town I applied my skincare products.
Thanks U:RE Cosmetics for the skincare you sent to me. I love this Eggplant Master Bio Cell Essence making my skin look youthful and fresh with or without a make-up.
Before going out, I tried our lipgloss that isn’t sticky, easy to apply, rich in pigments and has beautiful colour nude shade.
All my clothes are just mix and match because I don’t really fancy to buy branded clothes, especially I’m saving money for my upcoming Europe trip this year. I really look forward to that day to come. 🙂
The dinner with friends.
The ever-striking dinner setting of Aj has a fabulous collection of contemporary plates in black & white theme. I love that he has attention to details and he is into art-related merchandise from Ikea to branded masterpieces making his apartment so elegant yet cozy. Like literally I was bound to ask if I can live there. Lol
I asked him a few questions and he said, the design influence is from his mum who is an interior designer. His mum loves to host dinner parties at home, including making efforts in sharing rare works by homegrown graffiti artists in the Philippines that has a touch of Filipino and Parisian taste.
Aj’s bedroom has a nostalgic collection of artwork, limited edition toys and personal artefacts. The Instagram video doesn’t justify how beautiful and neat his room, he specialize in the modern and contemporary art, with a focus on compelling and provocative works.
Mdm Peppin and I were chillin’ on the balcony and she used her S9 mobile phone to take photos of the dinner party.
What are my NY resolutions for 2019? Honestly, I have no dramatic resolutions list but I hope to be consistent in my efforts in the startup, to be a better friend and to have more fun. My parents told me that life isn’t all about work, success or money it should be about giving love to people, being a good friend and creating fun memories.
Thank you to the lovely people last night. The food is great but most importantly your company is warm and we all had fun together.
