I was looking for an alternative way to save time when dolling up and I’ve thought that eyebrow embroidery is the quickest way to get it done. I searched online and I browsed through Facebook sponsored feeds about eyebrow embroidery until I learned about 6D microbladding and other shades. I had no clue about its difference hence I was undecided which style I will get.
I found Cherry Brows Lash Studio on Instagram and I like the genuine posts of this brand. I immediately book an appointment for a consultation.
There are quite a few options – 6D Microbladding, Ombré Misty Embroidery, and a mix of microbladding and Ombré Misty. Since I want to have a hair stroke, I selected the 6D microbladding shade.
What is a 6D microbladding shade?
Some say, it is a Japanese method of permanent make-up, where through manual process of inserting pigment into the eyebrows. Others say, 6D microbladding is an embroidery technique and it can achieve a natural-looking than other shades. There are a number of strokes compared to 3D (standard) and Ombré Misty. 6D microbladding is not permanent but it can last up to 3-6 months.
Is 6D Microbladding painful?
Based on my experience, it is not painful because the aesthetician has applied numbing cream on my eyebrows.
Numbing cream is anesthetics that contain lidocaine. It is commonly used to apply to children’s skin to reduce the pain of a needle poke but many beauty aestheticians are using it today.
Is it okay to have 6D microbladding if I have an eyebrow tattoo?
I’m no expert in eyebrows though but I suggest that if you have an eyebrow tattoo, have a laser first and heal it for quite some time before getting 6D microbladding because it does involve getting a bunch of tiny cuts on the eyebrows. You wouldn’t want to have complicated eyebrows, girl.
How much it cost?
If you are based in Singapore, you already know the price for eyebrow microbladding is gold. Some brands cost it from $688-988 that claim their stylist use hair-like strokes to mimic natural brow hairs hence, expensive which I highly doubt so. Basically, it is the same! It is just a matter of choosing the right artist.
At Cherry Brows Lash Studio the cost of 6D Microbladding is $288 but they have an on-going promotion at $168. They are located at Far East Plaza, Orchard.
Personally, I find Cherry’s work professional as her hands are gentle when she applied the numbing cream on my eyebrows and she suggested a few designs that will look good on me. She provided a friendly customer service that I fell asleep while she was designing my brows.
